Moncton Artist paints Royal Couple MARK LITTLE Little, who is art director for Co-op Atlantic in Moncton, has been doing portraits for many years. He has had exhibitions at Moncton City Hall Gallery, the Capitol Theatre Gallery and an ongoing exhibit at the Chocolate River Station in Riverview. Several of his artworks are available as prints across Canada. Little is also a musician and singer for his own band, The Watermen, who have released several albums. The painting depicts Britain's Prince William in a dark suit with purple tie and Kate Middleton in a blue dress, as they appeared in news photographs following the official announcement of their engagement. The couple will be married on Friday, April 29 at Westminster Abbey in London. In Little's painting, the image of William's mother, Diana, appears inside a representation of the sapphire ring that William gave to Kate for their engagement. The ring belonged to Diana and it has been reported that William and his younger brother Harry made an arrangement that whoever got engaged first would use it. |
